The genius Benjamin Thompson was born on March 26, 1753 in Woburn, Massachusetts. Because of the force of heat being pushed into the metal, water was poured onto the mechanism to cool it down. Later he observed methods of insulation such as feathers, wool, and fur. Because Benjamin Thompson was working for the military, he was also involved in the government.
