Chemical Formulas


A chemical formula is a symbolic way of expressing information about the atoms that constitute a particular chemical compound, and how the relationship between those atoms changes in chemical reactions.

Examples
CO2 means one carbon to two oxygens.
Counting atoms

The empirical formula of a chemical compound is a simple expression of the relative number of each type of atom in it.
