A heterogeneous mixture, also known as suspension mixture, is a type of mixture that is made up of visibly different substances with regions that have different properties from those of other regions within the mixtures.
Example: pizza, cereal and milk, rocks in the sand at the beach, banana splits, etc.
Basically, it is a mixture were you can see all the parts/components. Those examples are heterogeneous because you can see what they are made of. A pizza has visible cheese, pepperoni or whatever you like. Mmmmm... pizza. Think of it as the mixture were you know exactly what you get because you can see everything in it.
