What’s the difference between a radioactive nuclide and a nuclide?
A nuclide is a general term for describing an atom based on the particles in a nucleus (protons and neutrons). For example, nuclides with the same number of protons but different number of neutrons are called isotopes.
Radioactive nuclides (called radionuclides) are unstable and decay (via alpha, beta, gamma).
